Tell Us Your Favorite Cargo Bike & Win A Cargoli

Next to our big bikes we now have a new little cargobike in our hearts: It was sent to us from Berlin, home of the Cargoli.

I like the Cargoli, because it is extremely easy to park: it easily fits into my smallest Ortlieb-RackPack.
Jess likes it, because it is just cute.
Jakob from LittleBigCargo in Berlin likes it, because it is fun and relaxing.

Each of us will probably still have a favorite “real” cargobike, because the additional load of the cargoli is not very high.
Each of us might also have a different answer, if you asked us about our choice of “real” cargobike.
There are different tastes and different purposes you use your bike for and the market pleases almost everybody’s preferences: Even the Cargoli comes in 3 versions: two tricycles and one Long John…
With all these options we want to know:

Which cargobike is YOUR favorite and why?

Leave us the answer as a comment on this blogpost*: Tell us which cargobike is your bike of choice and why!
And with bit of  luck we will send you a sweet little cargoli Long-John, so you can have TWO favorite cargobikes!

  1. I have an optimum cargo, it’s just brilliant. My lovely fiancé bought it for me because I love things that are a bit different from the norm. It goes plenty fast enough for me even when I’m delivering parcels to my clients, I just love it:-)

  2. My favourite is the one I own – the Omnium Cargo. It’s fast, light, not too bulky and you can easily adapt it to your needs. Of course it’s a more DIY kind of cargo bike as there are almost no ready-made accessoires like the ones for the Bullitt. That is why I first considered buying the Bullitt for quite a while. However for my purpose and where we live (steep climbs all over the place) the Bullitt is too heavy. It’s also too bulky to take inside and in the end it’s not nearly as beautiful as the Omnium. The Omnium Frame is so simple and pretty and last but not least it is a steel frame.

  3. My favourite cargo bike is the Omnium Cargo, because i am a tall guy and i need a frame for men with long legs. I ride that bike daily, therefore it must be light und have the attitude for fight with cars in big cities. The cargo does it perfectly. And, it looks nice 🙂

  4. My favorite cargo bike is also the one i own. The Urban Arrow. It is like the BMW of the cargobike world. Everytime I use it, I feel like a rockstar Dad. I have two kiddos that love riding in it. Every trip feels like a fun adventure, even if its down to the local shop to pick up some groceries. The foam box makes it a step up from other cargo bikes which are typically wood. It rolls smooth, its easy to get on and off and is in a great position for driving it. Leaned back seattube makes the geometry work for me 6’6″ and my wife 5’7″. Also, when i have both kids and a huge load of groceries, the Bosch E-bike system helps me get up the hills to our house. It grabs attention around the city and hopefully starts to make people around us think that they can also go to bike as transportation!

  5. My favorite cargo bike is the long john by XYZ Cargo Bikes, or any bike or trolley put together using the XYZ Space Frame Technology developed by N55.
They can be built anywhere in the world fairly cheap with very simple tools, and can even be “remixed” so you can make your own creation.
I’ve used this technology to build the trolley for my mobile DJ Sound System.

Much love for Larry vs Harry’s Bullit also, but we cant get them here in Brazil.

  8. Without a doubt my first two choices are both Omnium. I ride an Omnium Cargo, but my second choice would be an Omnium Mini-max. My all steel Omnium is super fast and handles well even with heavy loads. Due to the design and with a rack extension I can carry big stuff that all other bikes will require a large trailer to accommodate. Finally, if I want to build a racing version it’s pretty reasonable to build out a Ti Omnium.

I like the look of a Bullitt a lot, and I must admit to no familiarity with Cargoli. If they made the extra long prototype Bullitt available I might consider that. I’m going to check out Cargoli now and see what it’s all about.

  9. My favorite long john cargo bike is the Trio Bike Cargo. It is the newest long John design, lighter and stiffer than even the Bullitt. Mine has a 1x chainring setup with bionx e motor. It’s very nimble and sporty. There are lots of accessories, it has a child seat that is lighter than Larry v Harry’s and a great cargo canopy. Overall very happy with it.
